Job summary

Swarovski is seeking an OTC Accountant who is fluent in Korean to join our finance team in Malaysia. You will monitor and reconcile accounts, support month-end close, and resolve customer payment discrepancies while coordinating with local finance, stores, and customer service.

You will contribute to accurate reporting, maintain audit documentation, and provide timely billing and account support. A strong numerical mindset, attention to detail, and SAP experience are valued in this hybrid role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role and understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
• Fluency in writing and speaking in Korean and English.
• Excellent communicator able to adapt to different audiences.
• Proficiency in posting and managing accounting figures and financial records.
• Strong data entry skills and comfort with numbers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and reconcile transitory accounts, payment provider accounts, bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and customer accounts.
• Perform daily reconciliations of cash applications, credit card transactions, bank transactions, EGC, and voucher-related activities.
• Investigate and resolve customer payment and account discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with local finance teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and with store ops and customer service as needed.
• Provide timely support for customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and accounts.
• Support month-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain audit documentation for internal and external audits.
• Undertake ad hoc assignments and cross-functional backup for accounting tasks.

About the job

• Monitor and reconcile transitory accounts, payment provider accounts, bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and customer accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform daily reconciliations of cash applications, credit card transactions, bank transactions, EGC, and voucher-related activities.
• Investigate and assist in resolving customer payment and account discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
• Work closely with local finance teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and collaborate with store operations and customer service teams as needed.
• Provide timely and professional support for customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account matters.
• Support month-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting activities.
• Prepare and maintain audit documentation to support internal and external audit requirements.
• Perform ad hoc assignments, provide cross-functional backup support, and undertake other accounting responsibilities as assigned.

About you

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role and understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
• Fluency in writing and speaking in Korean and English
• Excellent communicator who can adapt to different audiences
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a passion for working with numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and standard software tools
• Proficiency in MS Office and ideally knowledge in SAP
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• "Getting things done" and service orientated attitude combined with the ability to communicate and explain procedures and solution proposals to partners
• Excellent cooperation skills
