Job summary

Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa in Bandar Sunway, Selangor, seeks an Assistant Occupational Safety and Health Manager to develop, implement, and monitor safety programs across all operations. Reporting to the OSH Manager, you will ensure OSHA 1994 compliance and liaise with government agencies.

The role requires at least 3 years in safety work, strong OS&H knowledge, and the ability to train staff and coordinate with multiple departments in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a basic secondary or higher qualification (SPM or equivalent).
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia with staff, guests, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Implement workplace safety and health policies and programmes.
• Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards and review safety measures.
• Provide safety briefings and training, including staff orientation and evacuation procedures.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings with all departments and assist with minutes.
• Investigate workplace accidents, near misses and occupational illnesses.
• Maintain incident records and submit monthly safety activity reports.
