Responsibilities

• Oversee the full order management and logistics lifecycle from order entry in SAP through final delivery at destination.

• Develop, implement, and enforce SOPs to ensure consistent quality, service, and compliance in order and logistics execution.
• Safeguard order integrity and ensure customer and business requirements are met within committed timelines.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Order Management and Logistics team; establish KPIs and drive performance.

External: Customers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, regulatory bodies, and export-related service providers.

Work Complexity WFH / supports global export operations / may work across time zones and during critical shipment periods

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

This role requires strong expertise in end-to-end order management, export logistics, and international trade documentation, with the ability to drive SAP-enabled automation and continuous process improvement. Proficiency in SAP ERP, data analytics, and export compliance is essential, together with strong stakeholder management and leadership capability to coordinate Sales, Finance, Warehouse, Fulfillment, carriers, and customers across multiple markets.

JOB PURPOSE

To lead the end-to-end order-to-delivery lifecycle by ensuring order accuracy, export compliance, logistics performance, and continuous process improvement across domestic and international markets. The role drives operational excellence through standardization, data visibility, and digital automation while directly managing assigned export orders to support business growth and customer service commitments.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Order Management & Process Governance

• Oversee the full order management and logistics lifecycle from order entry in SAP through final delivery at destination.
• Maintain visibility on order health, shipment status, landed cost, and logistics performance across domestic and international orders.
• Develop, implement, and enforce SOPs to ensure consistent quality, service, and compliance in order and logistics execution.
• Safeguard order integrity and ensure customer and business requirements are met within committed timelines.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Order Management and Logistics team, fostering accountability, technical proficiency, and service excellence.
• Establish and monitor standard KPIs such as order-to-ship cycle time, documentation accuracy, and perfect order fulfillment rate.
• Act as the primary bridge between Sales, Finance, Warehouse, and Fulfillment teams to align priorities and resolve operational issues.
• Promote strong cross-functional coordination to ensure customer SLAs and business goals are consistently achieved.

Export Compliance & Global Logistics Execution

• Oversee the preparation and completion of export documentation, including Health Certificates, Certificates of Origin, and Customs Declarations, for multiple international markets.
• Ensure compliance with NZ MPI export protocols and country-specific import requirements, particularly for animal-derived products.
• Manage relationships and negotiate contracts with freight forwarders and carriers to secure capacity, optimize freight spend, and support reliable delivery.
• Monitor carrier performance, shipment execution, and issue resolution to minimize delays and service failures.

Process Optimization & Digital Automation

• Lead the transformation of manual order processes into automated SAP workflows, including EDI integration, automated acknowledgements, and digitized freight audit activities.
• Review logistics and order workflows to identify bottlenecks, remove redundant manual touchpoints, and reduce lead times through continuous improvement.
• Build and use dashboards and reporting tools to track order performance and support data-driven decision-making.
• Support systems integration between ERP and logistics or 3PL platforms to improve operational efficiency and visibility.

Direct Export Order Processing

• Directly process assigned export orders and ensure all supporting shipping and customs documents are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate booking, tracking, delivery updates, and issue resolution with internal stakeholders, customers, and logistics partners.
• Maintain high documentation accuracy to prevent shipment delays, compliance issues, and customer service disruptions.

Ad Hoc Projects & Business Support

• Provide ad hoc operational analysis, reports, and recommendations to support service improvement and business decision-making.
• Support cross-functional projects related to export growth, logistics efficiency, customer fulfillment, and process enhancement.

Profile and Qualifications:

Education Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field
