Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Database Administrator (Oracle) to manage Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and MySQL databases in our Kuala Lumpur environment. You will monitor performance, backups, and recoveries, and ensure security and DR readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS/IT and at least three years of DB admin experience, plus relevant certifications; ongoing training and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of database administration experience.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MySQL (standalone & cluster).
• Experience in backup/recovery, performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge in database security hardening and DR solutions.
• Relevant database certifications (Oracle/EDB/MS SQL) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational database support (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MySQL/MongoDB).
• Monitor database performance, incidents, changes, backups, and recovery processes.
• Perform database troubleshooting, tuning, patching, and optimization.
• Maintain database security, audit compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Support database cluster environments and ensure system availability.
