Job summary

SATURDAYS in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Optometrist/Store Manager to lead our optical store and deliver high-quality eye care. This contract role combines professional optometry with daily retail operations and people management.

You will conduct eye examinations, prescribe vision solutions, fit eyewear, and ensure excellent customer service while overseeing scheduling, inventory, and financial reporting. A Malaysia-licensed optometrist with 3+ years' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Optometrist with a valid license to practice in Malaysia.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Optometrist or in a similar role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Proficient in inventory management and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Optometrist/Store Manager to join our team at SATURDAYS in Kuala Lumpur. This is a contract position with the opportunity to work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. As the Optometrist/Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality eye care services and managing the day-to-day operations of our optical store.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conducting comprehensive eye examinations and prescribing corrective lenses or other vision solutions
• Fitting and dispensing glasses and contact lenses
• Providing exceptional customer service and addressing all customer inquiries and concerns
• Managing store operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant optical industry regulations and standards
• Actively participating in and contributing to the growth and development of the business

What We're Looking For

• Registered Optometrist with a valid license to practice in Malaysia
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Optometrist or in a similar role
• Strong customer service and communication skills
