Oscar Optical & Contact Lens Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Optician/Optometrist for a flexible part-time role. You will conduct eye examinations, perform refractions and recommend eyewear and contact lenses to help patients see clearly and comfortably.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification as an Optometrist or Optician from a recognised institution.
• Valid professional registration and licensure as required by Malaysian regulatory bodies.
• Strong understanding of refractive errors, eye pathology and contact lens fitting.
• Excellent communication skills with patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments using advanced optical equipment and techniques.
• Perform refraction tests to determine appropriate lens prescriptions for patients.
• Diagnose and manage common eye conditions and refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary.
• Dispense and fit contact lenses, providing guidance on proper insertion, removal and care.
• Advise patients on suitable eyewear options, including frames and lens materials, based on their visual needs and lifestyle.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and examination documentation.
• Educate patients on eye health, preventative care and proper contact lens hygiene.
• Ensure compliance with optical healthcare regulations and professional standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Support the optical retail operations and contribute to a positive patient experience.

What we're looking for
