Job summary

Nokia in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an Optoelectronic Manufacturing Test Engineer to elevate our optoelectronics production test processes. You will support pluggable and Trosa testing at contract manufacturers, using SQL and JMP for data analysis and test result interpretation.

The role requires a solid foundation in optical communication, electrical/optical testing, and experience with test equipment. VB.NET or Phyton skills will enhance automation and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in optoelectronics product validation and testing, with focus on optical communication and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly SQL and JMP, for data handling and interpretation.
• Strong understanding of optical communication principles and electrical/optical test fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• First line Nokia test engineering support for contract manufacturers solving tester and product issues
• Tester training and deployment at contract manufacturers
• Yield analysis, test time reduction, stability and robustness improvements
• Utilize SQL and JMP for advanced data analysis, reporting, and test result interpretation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance test capabilities and share best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to optical and electrical test equipment
• Stay updated on industry trends in optoelectronics and integrate new testing techniques
• Support production transfers to other factories
• Support Global operations and R&D team
