Job summary

Sem Matic Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a skilled machine operator to operate and monitor dry press stamping machines according to production specifications and work instructions. You will perform setup, die/tool changes, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting to ensure smooth production flows.

Responsibilities include in-process inspections, recording results, and coordinating with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess Sijil Kemahiran/Diploma in Mechanical/Machining or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience in manufacturing.
• Willing to work on shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor dry press stamping machines according to production specifications and work instructions.
• Perform machine setup, die/tool changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• Inspect stamped components using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
• Monitor production processes to maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards.
• Identify and report defects including dents, cracks, burrs, deformation, and dimensional abnormalities.
• Conduct in-process inspections and segregate non-conforming products.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and 5S requirements.
• Accurately record production quantities, inspection results, machine conditions, and downtime.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve production and quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, material waste, and machine downtime.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials, WIP, finished products, dies, and tooling.
