Qualifications

• Proven experience as an operator in a manufacturing/plating environment.
• Strong understanding of plating processes and chemical handling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specs and work orders.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality output.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to regulations.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plating equipment and machinery across production shifts.
• Prepare and mix plating solutions and chemicals per specifications.
• Load/unload components into plating tanks and automated systems.
• Conduct regular quality checks on plated components to meet standards.
• Record production data, readings and quality results accurately.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.
• Contribute to a safe, organized, efficient working environment.

About the role

Hightec Plating Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Operator to join our team at our Perai, Penang facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our plating and surface treatment operations. As an Operator, you will be responsible for running and maintaining specialised equipment, ensuring that our production processes operate efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to meeting our production targets and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the plating and finishing industry.

What you’ll be doing

• Operating and monitoring plating equipment and machinery throughout production shifts
• Preparing and mixing plating solutions and chemical compounds according to specifications
• Loading and unloading components into plating tanks and automated systems
• Conducting regular quality checks on plated components to ensure they meet required standards
• Recording production data, equipment readings and quality results accurately
• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas
• Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
• Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors
• Contributing to a safe, organised and efficient working environment
