Job summary

BYD Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia, invites applications for production operators to operate production machines, perform assembly, inspection, packing, sorting, and other assigned production tasks. You will ensure products meet quality standards, conduct basic visual inspections, and report defects or machine malfunctions to the supervisor.

The role requires meeting daily targets, maintaining 5S housekeeping, and following safety rules.

Job description

Operate production machines, equipment, and tools according to work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP).

Perform assembly, inspection, packing, sorting, and other production-related activities as assigned.

Ensure products meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Conduct basic visual inspections and report any defects, abnormalities, or machine malfunctions to the supervisor.

Meet daily production targets and ensure work is completed within the scheduled timeframe.

Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping at the workstation in accordance with 5S requirements.

Follow all workplace safety rules, company policies, and applicable health and safety requirements.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Record production output, defects, and other relevant information accurately when required.

Handle raw materials, work-in-progress products, and finished goods carefully to prevent damage or contamination.

Cooperate with supervisors, line leaders, and team members to achieve production objectives.

Perform other duties related to production as assigned by the supervisor or management.
