Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Specialist, Operations Quality in Malaysia to lead quality excursions, oversee NPI to mass production quality, and develop robust quality control plans. The role requires deep knowledge of ISO/IPC standards, Six Sigma and Lean Kaizen, and the ability to coach junior staff while driving cross-functional improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools, ISO and IPC standards.
• 4–6 years in a similar role or industry.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Kaizen.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to handle quality excursions independently, and take effective actions on time.
• Oversee the product & material quality from NPI to mass production.
• Develop the quality control plan for material, process and product.
• Monitor and report quality KPI for internal (factory) and external (customer).
• Drive continuous improvement to benefit customer, Celestica and supplier.
• Develop and maintain internal quality system, procedures, work instructions and workmanship standards.
• Lead process/product/system/supplier audit and improvement actions follow up.
• Follow up the EC/ SPCN to ensure timely and accurate implementation of changes.
• Coach junior quality staff to improve their quality knowledge.
• Accomplish assignments from superior and participate in quality strategy deployment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO and IPC standards and processes.
• Knowledge of software and its uses in generating reports and presenting data clearly.
• Strong knowledge of product and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of the business unit’s impact on customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, 8D methodology, etc.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Kaizen.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
