Job summary

INVENTEC APPLIANCES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee manufacturing, logistics and quality control in Penang Island.

The role requires delivering operational excellence, implementing efficiency strategies, and guiding cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines. You will manage a team, analyze KPIs, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar operational management role in manufacturing, transport or logistics.
• Strong understanding of operational processes, quality management, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in the use of relevant software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as engineering, operations management or business administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's operations, including production, logistics, and quality control.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve operational issues, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Manage and lead a team of operational personnel, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, and report on operational metrics to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards and company policies.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
