INVENTEC APPLIANCES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an experienced Materials Planner who will optimise inventory, coordinate procurement, production and distribution to ensure product availability and cost efficiency.

The role requires data-driven oversight of stock levels, cycle counts, and ERP/MRP systems (SAP or equivalent). You will contribute to lean improvements and maintain accurate records using Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software.
• Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO and stock valuation methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.

We are seeking an experienced Materials Planner to join INVENTEC APPLIANCES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our inventory operations and supporting the efficiency of our manufacturing and logistics operations. As a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, and ensuring seamless coordination between procurement, production, and distribution functions. This role is integral to minimising costs, reducing waste, and ensuring product availability to meet operational demands.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems and ensure data integrity across all warehouse locations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and inventory planning.
• Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of inventory replenishment, safety stock management, and demand planning.
• Experience in cycle counting, physical inventory, and inventory reconciliation.
• Knowledge of FIFO (First In, First Out), FEFO (First Expired, First Out), and inventory optimization methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
