Job summary

PRO 7 AUTOWORKS is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our automotive workshop operations and support the expansion of a new branch in Kuala Perlis, Perlis. You will lead a team across mechanics, service advisors and admin staff, drive sales and profitability, and ensure high-quality workshop standards.

The role targets strong leadership, KPI management and effective customer communication, with compensation featuring a base salary plus performance-based commission.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in automotive workshop industry.
• Strong leadership and people management.
• Experience in a leadership/management role preferred.
• Experience as Workshop Supervisor/Foreman/Senior Mechanic or similar encouraged.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
• Willing to work in Kuala Perlis, Perlis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the automotive workshop.
• Monitor and improve branch sales, profitability and performance.

• Prepare performance reports covering sales, profitability, staff performance and operational issues.

Operations Manager – Automotive Workshop

PRO 7 AUTOWORKS is looking for a driven and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our current automotive workshop operations and support the expansion of our upcoming second branch.

This role is ideal for someone with strong automotive industry experience who can lead a team, drive sales and profitability, improve workshop operations, and build a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the automotive workshop.

• Monitor and improve branch sales, profitability and overall performance.

• Set, monitor and improve staff KPIs.

• Lead and manage mechanics, service advisors and administrative staff.

• Ensure workshop SOPs, quality standards and operational procedures are consistently followed.

• Monitor customer service, complaints and overall customer satisfaction.

• Drive proper vehicle inspection, repair recommendations and upselling opportunities.

• Monitor workshop productivity, job progress and turnaround time.

• Identify operational problems and implement effective solutions.

• Assist in recruitment, training and development of workshop staff.

• Recruit and develop Workshop Supervisors for the company's branch expansion.

• Work closely with the Owner to improve business processes and operational efficiency.

• Prepare regular performance reports covering sales, profitability, staff performance and operational issues.

• Assist in planning and preparing for the opening of the company's second branch.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive / automotive workshop industry.

• Strong understanding of automotive repair and workshop operations.

• Previous experience in a leadership or management role is highly preferred.

• Candidates with experience as a Workshop Supervisor, Foreman, Senior Mechanic, Service Manager or similar position are encouraged to apply.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Good understanding of sales, profitability, KPI and basic costing.

• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Able to communicate effectively with customers and staff.

• Highly responsible, proactive and performance-driven.

• Willing to take ownership of workshop performance and results.

• Diploma or Degree is not mandatory. Relevant industry experience and proven management ability are more important.

• Willing to work in Kuala Perlis, Perlis.

Compensation & Benefits

Potential Monthly Income: RM4,667 – RM6,000+
Basic Salary + Performance-Based Commission

The actual earning potential will depend on business performance and achievement of operational targets.
