Job summary

CLSA in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Business Management – Manager to oversee the robust operation of the local office, ensuring effective governance, processes and controls. You will coordinate with global support functions and manage day-to-day activities, budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration or relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in financial services industry.
• Front office experience in ETFs, Wealth Management, Equities and Derivatives will be an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience in the financial services industry.
• Leadership skills including goal setting and providing appropriate feedback.
• Disciplined approach to compliance and enforcement of policies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability. Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Good command of both spoken and written English.
• Action oriented and achievement focused.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control day-to-day activities of the local office.
• Budget planning and tracking throughout the fiscal cycle.
• Manage local legal, regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with global support functions for policy and procedure implementation in Malaysia.
• Ensure control and risk management issues are addressed in audits and reviews.
• Support governance meetings and reporting requirements to regulators.
• Oversee administrative support across departments (Finance, Legal, Compliance, Audit, Technology, HR).
• Contract management and annual reviews for outsourced services.
• Monitor accounts payable and staff claims spend and exceptions.
