Job summary

Xin Hwa Trading & Transport Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily haulage and logistics, ensuring on-time deliveries and high customer satisfaction. You will lead drivers and staff, plan resources, monitor safety, and generate performance reports to support growth in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a decade in the field and strong leadership to drive continuous improvements and cost efficiency, while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience in haulage, cargo, transport, or logistics operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise haulage staff and drivers to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Monitor and achieve sales targets for haulage divisions.
• Plan manpower, recruit drivers and operational staff, and assign duties effectively.
• Conduct training, orientation, and counselling sessions to improve staff performance.
• Oversee the drafting, review, and generation of drivers’ contracts in line with company policies.
• Ensure sufficient resources (trucks, trailers, equipment, manpower) are available, well-maintained, and operationally ready.
• Ensure all operations comply with safety, legal, regulatory, and company standards.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly operational and performance reports to management.
• Liaise with customers, vendors, and suppliers to meet operational needs and strengthen business relationships.
• Monitor operational processes continuously and implement improvements to increase efficiency, safety, and service quality.
• To perform any other duties as and when required by the management.
