The Operations Executive is responsible for ensuring the efficient daily operations of Stayora Group Sdn. Bhd.’s hospitality businesses, including short-stay accommodations, serviced apartments, boutique hotels, and future hospitality ventures. The role is focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, protecting company assets, and supporting revenue growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Property Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of assigned Stayora properties.
- Ensure all guest rooms and common areas meet the Company’s cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards.
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure operational readiness.
- Coordinate property openings, refurbishments, and new unit handovers.
- Monitor utility usage and operational efficiency.
2. Guest Experience
- Ensure smooth guest arrival, stay, and departure experiences.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, requests, and complaints.
- Coordinate solutions for guest issues and follow up until resolved.
- Maintain high guest satisfaction ratings across all booking platforms.
- Plan and supervise housekeeping schedules.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance works.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Ensure all maintenance issues are resolved within acceptable timeframes.
4. Booking & Reservation Support
- Coordinate with reservations and customer service teams to ensure accurate bookings.
- Monitor room availability and operational status.
- Assist in managing overbooking, room changes, and special guest requests.
- Support operational requirements for Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, and other online travel agencies.
5. Quality Assurance
- Ensure all operations comply with Stayora’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct routine quality inspections.
- Recommend operational improvements to enhance guest satisfaction and efficiency.
- Ensure brand standards are consistently maintained across all properties.
6. Inventory & Procurement
- Monitor operational inventory, including linen, guest amenities, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
- Coordinate purchasing and replenishment.
- Ensure company assets are properly maintained and safeguarded.
7. Team Coordination
- Coordinate the daily work of housekeeping, maintenance, and operational personnel.
- Assist in staff orientation and training.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.
- Monitor contractor and outsourced service performance.
8. Administration & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, incidents, and inventories.
- Assist management with budgeting, operational planning, and business improvement initiatives.
9. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and guest information.
- Ensure CCTV, access control, fire safety equipment, and security procedures are properly maintained.
10. Business Support
- Assist with the setup of new Stayora properties and hospitality projects.
- Support hotel opening activities, renovations, branding initiatives, and operational transitions.
- Participate in company projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel, hospitality, serviced apartment, or property management is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong potential may also be considered.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality-related software.
- Ability to work under pressure and outside normal working hours when required.
- Possession of a valid driving licence and willingness to travel between company properties is preferred.
