Job summary

PMX Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a data centre facilities engineer to support the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of M&E systems from pre-operation through handover and during the DLP.

You will oversee CRAH and chiller operations, conduct PPM, and respond to after-hours needs. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and experience in data centre operations, HVAC, and BMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Facility Management, Data Centre Operations, HVAC systems, BMS, or critical environment operations.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (vendors, project, operations).
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support operation and monitoring of M&E systems within the data centre.
• Manage planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and defect rectification during Defect Liability Period (DLP).
• Operate CRAH and chiller systems during pre-operation and handover stages.
• Provide standby and operational support after office hours when required.
• Coordinate with vendors and project teams for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Maintain proper documentation, logs, and reporting.
• Monitor system parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rate, humidity) via BMS to ensure operational limits are maintained.
• Review system performance, alarm history, and operational trends for preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with SOP, EOP, and safety requirements.

You will responsible for supporting the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems within the data centre from pre-operation through post-handover and during the Defect Liability Period (DLP).

Key Responsibilities

Support manual and automatic operation of CRAH and chiller systems during pre-operation and handover stages

Operate and monitor Data Centre Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems

Manage Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and defect rectification during Defect Liability Period (DLP)

Provide standby and operational support after office hours when required
