Job summary

Great Pyramid on a hyperscale data centre project in Selangor seeks a Resident Engineer (MEP) to supervise on-site electrical and mechanical works, ensuring compliance with design, drawings and client requirements while meeting reliability targets for a mission-critical facility.

You will review submittals, witness FAT/SAT/IST, manage QA records, and coordinate with contractors and consultants to resolve interfaces and keep progress on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering recognized by BEM.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day engineering works and confirm they meet approved drawings, specifications and standards.
• Review and approve materials, equipment submittals, shop drawings, method statements and inspection and test plans.
• Inspect and witness installation of critical systems (Electrical: HV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, busways, earthing, protection; Mechanical: chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, cooling towers, pumps, piping, containment, ventilation, fire suppression, BMS/EPMS).
• Witness FAT, SAT, IST and commissioning and review test reports.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including Suruhanjaya Tenaga, TNB, BOMBA, JKR/CIDB standards and local authority requirements and IEC/IEEE/BS/MS standards.
• Manage technical queries, coordinate with contractor and consultants, resolve interface issues on site.
• Monitor progress against the programme, flag delays and risks, assist with variation orders and progress claims.
• Maintain site records, daily/weekly reports, NCRs, inspection requests and test documentation.
• Support handover: snagging, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, training and CCC and approvals.
