Job summary

ABB in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, is seeking a full-time on-site Service Engineer to execute field service tasks with low to medium complexity. You will plan and perform work with a first-time-right approach, identify improvements for customers, and ensure the availability of materials and equipment.

The role requires a strong troubleshooting background and hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
3–5 years in field service, installation and maintenance of analytical/process instrumentation systems.
Experience supervising subcontractors and managing site operations.
Customer-facing technical support and troubleshooting experience.
Documentation and data analysis skills; familiarity with ABB analyzers.

Responsibilities

Execute service work with low to medium complexity per work instructions and ABB standards.
Plan and perform on-site activities with a first-time-right approach for customers.
Identify opportunities to improve operations and reduce pain points.
Prepare material lists and ensure availability of parts and equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment/process failures and recommend corrective actions.
