Job summary

Vault Personnel Pte. Ltd. seeks a hands-on Project Manager and Onsite Engineering Lead to manage AI computing infrastructure at the data centre.

You will lead the on-site team, organise 24/7 coverage and incident response to meet SLAs, and verify provider specifications meet company requirements. Responsibilities include planning GPU server deployments, coordinating vendors, monitoring installation, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

Degree in IT, computer engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications or related field.
At least five years of relevant experience, including two years in data centre or critical infrastructure.
Hands-on ability to install, configure and troubleshoot servers, network equipment and cabling.
Experience diagnosing hardware failures and hot-swap replacement of components.
Familiarity with data centre power, cooling, physical security and change-control processes.
Ability to manage multiple vendors and projects while troubleshooting on site.
Experience supervising staff, organizing shift coverage and incident escalations in a 24/7 environment.
Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese for communication with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and supervise the on-site engineers, with ownership of daily tasks, maintenance activities and incident response.
Plan shift rosters to maintain 24/7 coverage, including leave, training and absences.
Own operational delivery against SLAs, including monitoring, response, escalation and service reporting.
Set incident priorities and coordinate response across shifts with vendors and management.
Review performance, incident trends and implement corrective actions with runbooks.
Plan and manage installation of GPU servers, racks, networking and related infrastructure from site prep to handover.
Coordinate delivery schedules, site access, installation teams, vendors and customer requirements.
Track milestones, risks, costs and issues; provide progress updates to management.
Verify rack space, allocated power, connectivity and cooling readiness with data centre operator.
Maintain installation records, asset registers, rack layouts and handover documents.
Conduct routine checks on server and network equipment, alerts and capacity utilization.
Install and commission servers and cabling on-site; supervise team installations.
Diagnose hardware faults using logs and management interfaces; replace failed components.
Perform hot-swap replacement of drives, power supplies and fans per procedures.
Coordinate repairs, warranties and firmware updates with vendors and internal teams.
Direct the team during incidents and coordinate recovery and root-cause analysis.
Manage changes with approvals and maintenance windows.
Monitor capacity to support future expansion.
Act as primary operational contact for data centre provider and vendors.
Review provider designs against requirements for rack capacity, power, cooling and security.
Track buildout, milestones and corrective actions before handover.
Coordinate with provider on capacity, power and cooling performance.
Monitor provider performance and elevate delays or issues to management.
Oversee vendor work on site and ensure safety and security requirements.
Support customer visits and audits when required.
Maintain incident, change, maintenance and access records.
Report SLA performance and service risks.
Prepare operational reports on status, health and capacity.
Assist in major incidents outside normal hours.
