Job summary

Atotech an MKS Brand is seeking a Technical Sales & Service Engineer for Penang, Malaysia. You will partner with the Business Sales Team to deliver technical support for Atotech chemical processes and equipment at customer sites, ensuring stable operation and ongoing improvement.

Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager, you will help customers run processes with consistent quality. The role requires hands-on PCB plating experience, lab skills, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field.
• 1–2 years of PCB industry experience in a technical/engineering role.
• Hands-on PCB plating process experience (Cu/Ni/Au etc.).
• Familiarity with chemical laboratory practices, including titration and lab instrumentation.
• Strong problem solving, root-cause analysis, and corrective action planning skills; able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Valid Malaysian driving license and own car; travel to customer sites in Penang and outstation.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site process setup and troubleshooting for Atotech chemical processes.
• Capture and share clear technical reports with customers and internal teams.
• Monitor chemical consumption trends and analyze usage patterns.
• Transfer process knowledge to customers and enable independent operation.
• Provide reliable consumption forecasts to the internal supply chain.
• Travel up to 25% to customer sites in Penang and beyond.
