Job summary

PMX Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of data center construction projects. You will coordinate mechanical engineering activities, review drawings, monitor progress, and ensure QA/QC and safety standards across the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, at least 3 years of experience in M&E, industrial, data center or construction projects, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant project experience.
• Experience in M&E, industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, data center, or construction projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC, piping, utility systems, fire protection, or mechanical installations is an advantage.
• Familiar with Testing & Commissioning processes.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day mechanical engineering and project activities.
• Coordinate site works, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Review engineering drawings, technical submissions, and installation procedures.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, costs, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and EHS requirements.
• Support Testing & Commissioning activities and system handover.
• Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
• Assist in project closeout, defect rectification, procurement, and tender support.
