Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Malaysia I Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager (Mechanical) to lead M&E projects in our Johor Bahru data centers, from planning through handover.

You will coordinate with site teams, contractors and consultants to ensure on-time, safe and compliant delivery of critical infrastructure. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in M&E project management, with experience in HVAC, power, fire protection, IST testing and CAPEX planning for data centers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction project management within the M&E or engineering field.
• Experience delivering large-scale M&E projects with HVAC, power, and fire protection.
• IST testing and commissioning experience in data centers.
• CAPEX planning, cost estimation and TCO knowledge for M&E in data centers.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical.
• Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office.
• Fluent in English; APAC language skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee M&E construction lifecycle from planning to handover.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors and consultants.
• Manage budgets, schedules and risks; report to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure proper M&E coordination.
