Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad in Malaysia is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to oversee M&E site activities on data centre projects. You will liaise with engineering teams, consultants and stakeholders to ensure design and processes meet project requirements.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, monitoring progress, and timely QA and progress reporting to management. You will supervise site personnel, ensure adherence to HVAC and electrical specifications, coordinate subcontractors, enforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in data centre projects is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and related mechanical works
• Strong communication and coordination skills with subcontractors, consultants, and client

Responsibilities

• Liaise with engineering teams consultants, and stakeholders on technical design and processes to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Review project drawings and specifications
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely submission of quality assurance reports, site updates, and financial progress reports to Management/Immediate superior.
• Supervise site personnel to ensure works are carried out in accordance with Mechanical (HVAC) and Electrical specifications, standards, and approved procedures.
• Assist in monitoring and coordinating subcontractors involved in M&E works.
• Ensure all works comply with approved method statements, specifications, contract requirements, and safety standards.
• Supervise, guide, and motivate site staff to improve performance, productivity, and job satisfaction.
• Track and monitor work progress of subordinates to ensure efficient execution and optimal resource allocation.
