Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN SAM CONSULTANCY SDN BHD in Penang is seeking a Construction Engineer to oversee on-site activities, review engineering drawings, and ensure projects meet design specs, safety standards, and local regulations.

You will coordinate with site supervisors and contractors, perform inspections and quality checks, monitor progress, assist with planning, and help manage heavy equipment use while preparing technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience reading construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations in Malaysia.
• Strong inspection, quality control, and site safety assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.
• Proficient in construction software and project management tools (e.g., CAD).
• Experience in infrastructure or building projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities on site and ensure compliance with designs, safety standards, and regulations.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and contractors to align progress with schedule and budget.
