Elsa Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract role based in Johor.

The position focuses on mechanical static and rotating equipment support, ensuring safe and efficient asset performance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with at least five years of experience, knowledge of piping systems, rotating equipment, and EPC/brownfield project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience.
• Conversant with relevant mechanical codes, standards and procurement processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of construction and commissioning of piping systems, static and rotating equipment.
• Understanding of onshore and offshore project activities.
• Petrochemical/Oil & Gas facilities experience preferred.
• Plant maintenance and turnaround experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering, asset integrity, and inspection.
• Exposure to EPC and brownfield projects, commissioning and start-up activities.
• Good understanding of contract, safety, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for mechanical static and rotating equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient asset performance.
• Develop and execute mechanical engineering strategies, plans, and technical solutions to support project and operational requirements.
• Provide technical support throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure mechanical engineering activities comply with applicable technical standards, safety, quality, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Provide technical input and assurance for mechanical engineering activities, including the application and compliance of COMPANY technical standards.
• Support asset integrity, reliability, availability, and maintenance improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance documentation and provide technical recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
