Job summary

Elsa Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd. in Johor seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for a contract position within the Oil & Gas sector.

You will provide technical input, oversee electrical systems design, testing, and maintenance to support operations. The role requires a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and at least five years of hands-on experience with protection relays, transformers, switchgear, motors, and UPS. Familiarity with AutoCAD and ETAP is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Proficient with protection relays, transformers, switchgear, motors, and UPS.
• Able to read electrical drawings, SLDs, and schematics.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, ETAP, and electrical software.
• Experience in petrochemical/Oil & Gas facilities preferred.
• Exposure to EPC, brownfield projects, commissioning and start-up is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input and execute electrical engineering strategy and policy.
• Support design, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Assist operation and maintenance of electrical equipment incl. relays, transformers, switchgear, motors, UPS.
• Review and interpret drawings and SLDs.
• Support commissioning, testing, start-up activities.
• Monitor system performance and assist RCA and reliability improvements.
• Ensure safety, compliance with standards and documentation.
