Job summary

ELSA in Kuala Lumpur invites a Structural Engineer for a 1-year contract to support offshore structural design, mooring verification and HUC activities.

Responsibilities include verifying mooring and gangway procedures, reviewing drawings, and performing lifting analyses while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet safety and project requirements.

You will prepare technical documentation and participate in field activities to resolve structural issues on offshore projects in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years in oil and gas, incl. 3+ years in a similar role.
• Experience in oil and gas commissioning projects.
• Familiarity with structural drawings and offshore construction activities.
• Capable of lifting analyses and engineering calculations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and verify soft mooring parameters for offshore operations.
• Review gangway procedures per safety standards.
• Perform structural analyses to ensure integrity and compliance with project specs.
• Prepare job cards, work packs and documentation for HUC activities.
• Provide field engineering support during HUC and resolve structural issues.
• Review structural drawings and cutting plans for offshore construction.
• Perform lifting analyses for offshore lifting operations.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction and commissioning teams to ensure safety and compliance with procedures.
