Job summary

Nexus DNL Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Field Project Engineer to support offshore diesel engine power generation, air compressors, and rotating equipment for offshore Oil & Gas facilities.

You will lead installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting while coordinating with clients and vendors to ensure safe, on-schedule project execution. The role requires a mechanical, electrical or marine engineering background with at least 2 years offshore experience, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years offshore experience in diesel engine generator installation, commissioning, maintenance or overhaul.
• Hands-on experience with medium-/high-speed diesel engines used offshore.
• Strong knowledge of engine control systems, alternators, fuel cooling lubrication and electrical protection.
• Offshore certifications (BOSIET/FOET, HUET, OGSP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead offshore installation, commissioning, maintenance, and overhaul of diesel generator packages.
• Coordinate project mobilization through handover.
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on engine systems.
• Supervise subcontractors; ensure safety, schedule, and quality.
• Prepare daily reports, commissioning records, and punch lists.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and offshore safety requirements.
• Support FAT, SAT and client inspections.
