Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead on-site commissioning activities for oil and gas facilities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines and safety standards. The role requires coordinating testing, handover processes and developing commissioning procedures in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with knowledge of systems, construction & commissioning processes and HSSE regulations.
Relevant experience in construction with understanding of construction & commissioning management processes and leading on-site teams.

Responsibilities

Execute commissioning activities per project plan, ensuring safety and standards.
Coordinate testing and handover for systems and equipment.
Identify and resolve commissioning challenges to maintain schedules.
Develop and review commissioning procedures, checklists, and schedules with engineering and operations.
Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and ensure systems are tested and certified for safe operation.
Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing best practices in commissioning activities.
