Job summary

Ambition in Klang, Malaysia is seeking an experienced ocean freight procurement leader to drive rate negotiations and carrier relationships across SEA. Based in Klang, you’ll coordinate with regional teams to optimize rates and capacity while maintaining data accuracy and strong supplier partnerships.

You will manage FCL and FAK/NAC structures, monitor market trends, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives across multi-country offices, delivering value in a fast-paced forwarding environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in ocean freight procurement with established carrier contacts across SEA
• Proven negotiator with ocean carriers, NVOCCs and co-loaders
• Strong knowledge of FCL and FAK/NAC rate structures and SEA trade patterns
• Comfortable working with BPO/back-office support teams and rate management systems
• Strong communicator, able to work independently across a multi-country environment

• Handle rate enquiries quickly for country offices, local clients, and overseas agents
• Align with regional procurement teams on Europe and Transpacific lanes
