Job summary

Tadika A-Z in Malaysia seeks a compassionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist with 1–2 years of clinical experience to provide child and family-centred therapy for children with developmental, sensory, physical, and cognitive challenges.

You will conduct assessments, develop individualised intervention plans, deliver engaging therapy sessions, and collaborate with families, SEN school staff and other professionals to support each child’s growth and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised institution.
  • Registered with the Malaysian Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA) and MAHPC.
  • 1–3 years of paediatric-related occupational therapy experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate, patient and child-friendly personality.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess children’s physical, cognitive, and sensory skills to develop therapy plans.
  • Provide direct therapy interventions for paediatric conditions such as ADHD, developmental delay, and sensory processing difficulties.
  • Monitor and document patient progress; maintain clinical records and reports.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve therapy goals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including speech therapists, physiotherapists, paediatricians, psychologists and educators.
  • Participate in case discussions and contribute to program improvements.
  • Maintain professional and ethical practice standards.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Paediatric Occupational Therapist with 1–2 years of clinical experience to provide child and family-centred therapy services for children with developmental, sensory, physical, and cognitive challenges. The role focuses on helping children improve their functional abilities, independence, and participation in everyday activities.

The therapist will conduct assessments, develop individualised intervention plans, and deliver fun therapy sessions tailored to each child’s needs. You will work closely with families, SEN school staff and collaborate with other professionals to support each child’s development and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and assess children’s physical, cognitive, and sensory skills to develop individualised therapy plans.

Provide direct therapy interventions for children with conditions such as, but not limited to:

ADHD

Developmental Delay

Sensory Processing Difficulties

Fine and gross motor challenges

Developmental Coordination Disorder

Monitor and document patient progress, maintaining accurate, timely and confidential session documentation, clinical records and reports.

Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and achieve therapy goals.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, physiotherapists, paediatricians, psychologists, and educators.

Participate in case discussions and contribute to improvements to the therapy program.

Maintain professional and ethical practice standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent from a recognised institution.

Registered with the Malaysian Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA) and the Malaysian Allied Healthcare Practitioners’ System (MAHPC).

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in paediatric-related occupational therapy.

Experience working with children with developmental disorders is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate and work effectively with children, families and the multidisciplinary team

Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Compassionate, patient, and child-friendly personality.
