Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of operations and maintenance experience in an engineering/industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, pumps or compressors.
• Ability to troubleshoot using a methodical approach to identify root causes.
• Experience reading technical drawings, manuals and specifications.
• Familiarity with CMMS or similar software.
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations of engineering systems and equipment for optimal performance and compliance.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot technical faults and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests on equipment and systems.
• Maintain maintenance logs and documentation for servicing and repairs.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement recommendations.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with suppliers, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations are followed.
• Train and support junior maintenance staff as required.
• Respond to emergencies and implement corrective actions when needed.
