Kotra Pharma (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Nutrition Formulator to join our Melaka team. You will develop nutritional formulations from concept to pilot trials, scale-up, and commercial launch, focusing on dairy and fortified products.

The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with collaboration across QA, Regulatory, Procurement and Manufacturing to meet specs, cost targets and scale-up milestones.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in powdered dairy product development and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of nutritional formulation, product development and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute product development plans in line with business and market priorities.
• Design nutritional profiles and formulations for milk and non-milk-based powder products, including fortified adult and children’s nutrition, growing-up milk and infant nutrition products.
• Ensure formulations comply with applicable regulatory standards, including Codex and target market requirements.
• Evaluate and qualify raw materials and suppliers in collaboration with QA and Procurement.
• Support regulatory documentation, product labelling reviews and claim substantiation.
• Manage technology transfer to toll manufacturers or internal manufacturing facilities.
• Identify formulation cost optimisation opportunities without compromising product quality.
• Establish and maintain R&D documentation, change control and formulation management systems.
