Job summary

Teradyne Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an experienced electronics engineer to support Magnum Testers NPI and high-volume manufacturing issues, driving production yield and reliability improvements.

You will collaborate with the US team on new product transfers and hardware/software validation, interface with suppliers, design engineering, board test and manufacturing to achieve results, and conduct product performance analyses. Local candidates only; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• BSEE with minimum 5 years of working experience in an electronics-related company.
• Experience with testing methodologies, ability to write macros/scripts and execute test cases.
• Strong knowledge in analog circuitry.
• Software development vs hardware (configuration/setup) in all phases.
• Demonstrated ability to bring products from NPI to mass production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across organization levels.
• Flexible, persistent, resourceful and driven to succeed.
• Analytical, team player with sense of urgency.
• Willing to travel for training or audits; able to work across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support Magnum Testers NPI and high-volume manufacturing operations issues.
• Drive production yield and reliability improvements.
• Support US team on new product transfer, part qualification and software validation.
• Interface with suppliers, Design Engineering, board test and manufacturing to achieve goals.
• Conduct product performance and reliability analyses to improve design.
• Initiate conferences with US engineering on technical issues.
• Update instruments and test configurations as needed.
• Develop macros for test blocks and data analysis in FSI.
