Job summary

TERADYNE is seeking a qualified engineer for onsite support at our Bayan Lepas contract manufacturing site in Penang. The role focuses on supporting Magnum Testers in NPI and high-volume manufacture, driving yield, reliability improvements, and coordinating with US teams on transfers and software validation.

The candidate will interface with Design Engineering, board test and suppliers, performing product performance analyses and resolving downtime.

Qualifications

BSEE with a minimum of 5 years in an electronic-related company.
Understanding of testing methodologies, proficiency and ability to write macros/scripts and execute test cases.
Strong knowledge in analog circuitry.
Software development vs hardware (configuration/setup) in all phases.
Demonstrated ability to bring products from NPI to mass production.

Responsibilities

Support Magnum Testers NPI and high-volume manufacturing issues.
Drive production, yield, and reliability improvements for Magnum testers.
Support US team on product transfer, part qualification, and software validation.
Interface with suppliers, Design Engineering, board test and manufacturing teams.
Conduct product performance and reliability analysis to improve design.
Initiate conference with US engineering on technical issues as needed.
