Job summary

Kosmic Technologies in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Test Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain test procedures, programs, and systems for production.

You will set up, validate, and troubleshoot testing equipment and fixtures; analyze results to identify defects; and work with Engineering, Production, and Quality to resolve issues.

The role supports NPI, process improvements, and documentation, and ensures compliance with standards while driving yield and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain test procedures, test programs, and test systems for production.
• Set up, validate, and troubleshoot testing equipment, fixtures, and test stations.
• Perform product testing and analyze test results to identify defects, failures, and abnormalities.
• Conduct failure analysis and work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve testing and product issues.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), product qualification, and engineering builds.
• Improve test coverage, test efficiency, yield, and overall production test performance.
• Develop and maintain test documentation, work instructions, specifications, and test reports.
• Monitor test equipment performance and coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repair when required.
• Investigate recurring test failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support production line troubleshooting and provide technical assistance for test-related issues.
• Analyze test data and prepare reports on test yield, failure trends, and process performance.
• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new test equipment, fixtures, and technologies.
• Ensure testing activities comply with company procedures, quality requirements, and applicable standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement, cost reduction, and productivity improvement projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or management.
