Job summary

ASE Global in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a proactive QA Engineer to support QA operations, overseeing NPI and mass production, and collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure quality from development to launch.

You will develop, review and approve quality documentation such as control plans, FMEAs, PPAPs and process flow diagrams, coordinate audits, drive CAPA, and mentor junior QA team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 2+ years in QA/Engineering/NPI in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, FMEA, PPAP.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication.
• Cross-functional collaboration ability.
• MS Office and QA tools proficiency.
• CQE or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA from NPI to mass production.
• Lead APQP activities and documentation.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet quality requirements.
• Develop, review and approve control plans, FMEAs, PPAPs, and process flow diagrams.
• Coordinate audits for compliance with internal and external standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and CAPA for issues during NPI and mass production.
• Continuously improve quality systems and procedures.
• Prepare and present quality metrics to management.
• Train and mentor junior QA team members.
