Job summary

ASMPT is seeking a Quality Engineer for New Product Development in Malaysia to uphold QMS for prototypes and pilot runs, ensure BOM and process flow integrity, and lead FAI and supplier quality controls as mass production approaches. The role emphasizes PPAP, QCP, and robust CAPA using 8D, 5Why, and FTA.

The candidate will work with AP areas to drive quality improvements, perform MSOP development, and collaborate with production, engineering and field teams to reduce DPPM and ensure successful

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electronic/Manufacturing/Industrial/Quality Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing and product development in the semiconductor equipment maker industry.
• Strong project management and independent/team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure QMS accuracy for New Products, Prototype, or first pilots (AP areas).
• Review BOM structure and process flows across the supply chain and post-shipment servicing.
• Manage first article inspection (FAI) and monitor early lots before mass production.
• Develop PPAP and QCP, and establish incoming control plans for CTQ/CTF parts.
• Apply 8D, 5Why, FTA, and other quality tools to drive root cause analysis and CAPA.
