British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Berhad (BAT Malaysia) is hiring an NPI Executive in Selangor. You will support system readiness and operational delivery within the New Product Introduction function, reporting to the Regional NPI Capability Manager.

The role spans APMEA and Global Travel Retail with a focus on end-to-end product code creation and timely project launches. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in project management or related fields, strong English communication, and proficiency with

• 2–3 years of experience in Project Management, Product Data Management, Analytics, Planning, Supply Chain, or Procurement.
• Strong English communication and proficiency with SAP, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI); familiar with AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Gemini.
• Able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision and drive deliverables.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end product and material code creation for new product launches, ensuring products can be planned, produced, costed, ordered, and sold across entities.
• Monitor and drive system readiness activities, including code creation, recipe readiness, product costing, and data quality, raising risks/delays as needed to meet launch timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and external partners (NPI Project Managers, Product Development, Packaging, Data Specialists, Factory, Costing, Quality, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning) to secure inputs and resolve bottlenecks.
• Manage projects with simple to moderate scope by developing plans, coordinating tasks, monitoring schedules, costs, risks, and deliverables, ensuring governance and quality.
• Maintain project governance and communication with active participation in meetings, tracking, updates, and continuous process improvements.

The NPI Executive is responsible to support the system readiness and operational delivery within the New Product Introduction (NPI) function.

SENIORITY LEVEL: Non-Management

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Reports To: Regional NPI Capability Manager

Geographic Scope: APMEA + Global Travel Retail

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate end-to-end product and material code creation for new product launches, ensuring products can be planned, produced, costed, ordered, and sold across entities, while managing Engineering Change Records (ECRs) that govern code creation activities across multiple business functions.
• Monitor and drive system readiness activities, including code creation, recipe readiness, product costing, and data quality, proactively identifying risks, delays, and issues, and ensuring timely resolution and escalation to maintain project launch timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and external partners, including NPI Project Managers, Product Development, Packaging, Data Specialists, Factory, Costing, Quality, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Planning teams, to acquire required inputs, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure project achievements are reached according to plan.
• Manage projects with simple to moderate scope by developing project plans, coordinating task execution, monitoring schedules, costs, risks, scope changes, and deliverables, while ensuring compliance with established project management standards, guidelines, and quality expectations.
• Maintain strong project governance and communication, including active participation in project meetings, daily tracking of system readiness activities, weekly review of BAT project management tools, accurate records management, regular partner updates, continuous process improvement initiatives, and timely raising of critical customer concerns to management

What are we looking for?

• Preferably 2-3 years of experience in Project Management, Product Data Management, Analytics, Planning, Supply Chain, or Procurement. Fresh graduates may also be considered if they can demonstrate relevant skills and capabilities through academic projects, internships, extracurricular activities, or volunteer work.
• Demonstrate strong technical proficiency, including advanced English communication skills (written and verbal), experience with SAP, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), and the ability to demonstrate AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Gemini for productivity and project optimization.
• Exhibit a high level of ownership and initiative, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, monitor progress, follow overdue actions, and drive deliverables forward independently with minimal supervision.
• Apply strong analytical, critical thinking, and time management skills, effectively identifying risks, prioritizing tasks, performing under pressure, and communicating complex or technical information clearly and concisely to support management decision-making.
• Maintain excellent organizational and collaborator management capabilities, ensuring accurate records management, compliance with audit requirements, attention to detail across multiple projects, and the ability to build collaborative relationships and influence collaborators at all organizational levels without direct authority. at all organizational levels without direct authority.
