Job summary

ASMPT MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Quality Engineer to support New Product Development, manufacturing and field feedback, ensuring end-to-end quality and reliability for advanced packaging equipment.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to keep the QMS compliant for prototypes and early pilot machines, manage FAI, PPAP, CTQ/CTF, and risk assessments, and drive CAPA using 8D, 5Why and MSA. This role demands strong communication, project management, and hands-on quality tools such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field with manufacturing or product development exposure.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment or high-precision manufacturing is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of quality tools and methods for new product development.

Responsibilities

• Support New Product Development and pilot production with end-to-end quality control.
• Review BOMs, process flows, and CTQ/CTF to ensure product conformance.
• Lead FAI/ first article inspections and monitor initial lots for mass production.
• Develop and maintain PPAP, QCP, and control plans for critical parts.
• Drive CAPA via 8D, 5Why, FTA and other quality tools; perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to improve metrology and inspection.
• Ensure QMS compliance for prototypes and early production.
