Job summary

Bosch in Malaysia seeks an experienced engineer to lead new product line setup, line readiness and MAE investments for production. You will define and release lines, perform capability studies and drive SPC-based improvements across the value stream.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, strong problem solving, technical reporting, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office. English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential, Mandarin a plus. Based in Penang on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical & electronics engineering.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in technical report writing and data analysis.
• Experience with NPI, production documentation (WI, Control Plan, FMEA).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS16949, IEC standards is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for new product line setup and release.
• Plan MAE and EWAK investments for workstation equipment.
• Define, purchase, set up, run trials and buy off for new products.
• Prepare workstation layouts and line release documents for mass production.
• Conduct Machine and Process Capability Studies; implement SPC where applicable.
• Train and guide trainers, supervisors and maintenance personnel.
• Monitor VSE technician performance and value stream improvements.
• Drive process improvement projects to enhance quality, cost and delivery.
• Support production in achieving FOR, quality and output targets.
• Liaise with maintenance for preventive plans and spare parts.
