Job summary

Motorola Solutions Malaysia seeks a New Grad PCB Design Engineer to join the Hardware team in Penang. You will standardize and execute advanced PCB and rigid-flex layouts from schematic capture through tape-out, working with EDA tools and DFM/DFA guidelines.

You will collaborate with Hardware, Mechanical, SI/PI, and Firmware groups to define constraints, maintain routing guidelines, and help resolve board-level trade-offs during prototyping and mass production.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical) or Computer Science or Physics.
• Strong understanding of RF and digital layout, signal integrity, EMC and crosstalk.
• Good understanding of stack-up, impedance control and PCB fabrication.
• Knowledge of Cadence SKILL adds advantage.

Responsibilities

• Standardize and execute advanced PCB and rigid-flex layouts from schematic capture through tape-out, leveraging top-tier EDA platforms and DFM/DFA frameworks.
• Partner with Hardware, Mechanical, SI/PI, and Firmware teams to set design constraints, maintain routing guidelines, and resolve board-level trade-offs.
• Serve as primary technical contact for vendor partners and contract manufacturers—drive DFM reviews and resolve engineering queries.
