Job summary
Tech Mahindra Malaysia is actively seeking a Network Specialist - L3 Support to join our Network Operations team in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on managing complex security and routing environments and ensuring continuous service for our multinational clients.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with CheckPoint, Zscaler, F5, Nexus switches and wireless LAN, with strong knowledge of BGP/EIGRP/OSPF, VPNs, and Cisco/Aruba wireless technologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Network Operations at level 2 NOC engineer role or above.
- Expert handling of security devices for setup and operations including BAU rule base updates.
- Experience with Check Point Firewalls, Zscaler Internet Access and Blue Coat ProxySG for troubleshooting.

- Monitor and manage network operations ensuring high availability.
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, VPNs, and security devices across environments.
- Collaborate with global teams to maintain secure, scalable networks.

- Minimum 8 years of hand-on experience working in Network Operations environment as a level 2 NOC engineer role or above
- Expert network security devices handling for both setup and operations support:
- Knowledge on CheckPoint Firewalls in terms of troubleshooting issues and also BAU rule base updates. NAT, application/URL filtering IPS, and other blades
- Knowledge on Zscaler Internet Access / Bluecoat ProxySG product in terms of troubleshooting whitelisting issues, SSL interception, cert validation etc.
- Kxpert knowledge on F5 APM, LTM, GTM, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Expert Internetworking knowledge and experience
- Knowledge on Routing (e.g. BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, PIM, GRE, VRF etc.), Switching (VPC, STP, etherchannel etc.), configuration and troubleshooting.
- VPN technologies experience be it IPSec using firewalls, routers or other interoperable devices, both setup and troubleshooting
- Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, and 2K configuration and trouceshooting
- Good knowledge on Wireless LAN solution
- Cisco Wireless LAN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Aruba Wireless LAN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Knoweldge on analyzing packet capture/wireshark output
- Knowledge on supporting McAfee NSM and IPS sensors
- Knowledge on supporting HP Network Automation (HPNA) Tool
- Knowledge on supporting Cisco ISE / Cisco ACS
