Job summary

Tech Staffing is seeking a Network Engineer in Penang to deploy, configure and maintain enterprise-grade networking infrastructure. You will work with routers, switches and firewall devices, ensuring reliable performance and security across the environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba and Huawei gear, plus strong troubleshooting skills. Collaboration with the team is essential to meet project milestones and deliver documented configurations.

Qualifications

• Min 4 years of experience configuring and administering routers and switches (e.g. HP Aruba/Cisco/Huawei)
• Firewall experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.
• Proficient in network analysis and troubleshooting using network/protocol analyzers
• Network certification would be an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure network deployment, configuration, implementation and maintenance of proposed system
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Collaborate with Team Leader to meet delivery milestones
• Provide technical documentation support and hand over as-built docs to maintenance team
• Engage with back-line/vendor support to diagnose and rectify issues
• Assist in day-to-day operation of the Network Delivery team
• Carry out other technical related duties as required

About the Role

• Infrastructure network deployment, configuration, implementation and maintenance of proposed system
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Work closely with Team Leader to meet system delivery milestones
• Provide technical documentation support to Project & Solutions Teams, as well as hand over as-built system documentation to Maintenance support team
• Engage with back-line support and/or with vendor’s support to diagnose and rectify technical problems.
• Assist in day-to-day operation of the Network Delivery team
• Carry out other technical related duties that may be required

Requirements:
