Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to lead enterprise delivery and infrastructure projects. You will configure F5 BIG-IP, manage Infoblox DDI, and optimize NGINX tenants while automating tasks with Python or shell scripts.

The role requires a decade of hands-on experience with enterprise networking, robust troubleshooting skills, and collaboration across security, cloud, and development teams. Strong Linux skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in enterprise networking and application delivery.
• Strong F5 BIG-IP expertise including LTM, SSL offloading, iRules and HA.
• Experience with Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
• Hands-on NGINX configuration for web server, reverse proxy, and load balancing.
• Automation scripting experience (Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell).
• Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, DNS and security concepts.
• Experience with open-source tools and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Design, implement, and support enterprise application delivery and network service solutions.


• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP platforms, including Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and SSL offloading.


• Manage Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) infrastructure.


• Deploy, configure, and optimize NGINX web servers and reverse proxy solutions.


• Develop automation scripts to streamline network administration, monitoring, and operational tasks.


• Troubleshoot application delivery, load balancing, DNS resolution, and web server performance issues.


• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and security best practices across the infrastructure.


• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams on deployment and migration projects.


• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.


• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and application delivery.


• Strong expertise in F5 BIG-IP (LTM, SSL Offloading, Health Monitors, iRules, Load Balancing, High Availability).


• Hands-on experience with Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management).


• Strong experience configuring and managing NGINX as a web server, reverse proxy, and load balancer.


• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell for automation.


• Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.


• Good understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, DNS, networking protocols, and security concepts.


• Hands-on experience with open-source technologies and automation tools.


• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA) or F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is preferred.


• Infoblox certification is an advantage.


• Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Git, or Jenkins.


• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) is desirable.


• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK is an added advantage.
