Straitdeer Pte. Ltd. is seeking a skilled NetDevOps engineer to architect and build a network automation platform in a hyperscale environment. You will implement drivers for multi-vendor devices, enhance observability with Prometheus/Grafana, and automate IPAM resources across global infrastructure.
You will work with Python, Ansible, Netmiko, and NAPALM in real production settings, collaborating with cross-border teams. Strong networking fundamentals and REST APIs are essential.
You'll be applying software engineering discipline to a problem set that most developers never encounter: the operational complexity of hyperscale AI datacenters and global backbone networks. The network infrastructure we run is too large and too fast-moving to operate manually — and your job is to build the platform that makes that scale manageable. Monitoring and alerting, config management, IP address planning, asset tracking, self-service automation — you're building the toolchain that the entire network team depends on.
Key responsibilities
Architect and build the core modules of our network automation platform — turning network requests into self-service workflows and ticket-driven automated execution
Write reliable, low-level drivers and API integrations for multi-vendor network devices: NVIDIA, Arista, Cisco, and others
Build and continuously improve our next-generation network observability stack — traffic, device state, link quality — using Prometheus/Grafana, streaming telemetry, and related tooling
Define precise monitoring metrics and multi-channel alerting strategies for VIP/Key Account networks, making sure we never miss an SLA commitment
Develop, maintain, and expose API interfaces for our IP Address Management system, enabling fully automated allocation and reclamation of IP and VLAN resources across global infrastructure
Own the integration between our DCIM and CMDB systems — the single source of truth for physical topology, rack positions, and logical assets — and keep it accurate and real-time as infrastructure changes
Build and roll out bulk config deployment and automated change workflows, complete with pre-change syntax validation, compliance checks, and post-change automated verification
Develop an automated config backup system with diff comparison and version control, so you always know what changed, when, and why
About you
3+ years in NetDevOps or network automation development
Degree in CS, Software Engineering, Telecoms, or similar
Solid network fundamentals — you genuinely understand BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, and Spine-Leaf topology
Proficient in Python for network automation; hands-on experience with Ansible, Netmiko, NAPALM, or Nornir in real production environments
Experience deploying and customizing monitoring stacks: Zabbix, Prometheus + Grafana, Telegraf, or equivalent
Familiar with IPAM tools (NetBox, Infoblox, or similar) and CMDB systems — both using them and maintaining them
Comfortable with Git and CI/CD pipelines as part of your everyday workflow
Familiar with network device programmable interfaces: RESTCONF, NETCONF, gRPC/gNMI
Fluent in Chinese and English; experience working across international teams
