AGENSI PEKERJAAN TRUST RECRUIT SDN. BHD. seeks a Senior Technical Delivery Engineer to lead architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management for enterprise networks across LAN, WAN, and SD‑WAN.
You will own design documentation and ensure strict adherence to blueprints while coordinating with Security and Storage teams. You will drive high-availability, disaster recovery planning, and post‑incident RCA, while mentoring engineers and coordinating with vendors for advanced escalations.
The Senior Technical Delivery Engineer (Network Infrastructure) serves as the principal technical authority and hands‑on lead for the architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise network solutions. This role is responsible for driving complex client solutions across LAN, WAN, Wireless, SD-WAN, routing, switching, and application delivery/load balancing environments.
As a senior individual contributor, the role establishes network technical standards, leads end‑to‑end infrastructure projects from architecture to commissioning, and acts as the final technical escalation point for major incidents. Operating collaboratively alongside the Security and Systems & Storage practices, this position shares co‑ownership of disaster recovery (DR) architecture at the network layer to ensure high availability, resilience, and business continuity.
Solution Architecture: Lead the technical design and architecture of resilient, scalable enterprise networks across LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and load‑balancing technologies.
Design Documentation: Produce and review comprehensive High‑Level Designs (HLD), Low‑Level Designs (LLD), Methods of Procedure (MOP), IP scheme architectures, and detailed topology diagrams. Validate that deployed environments align strictly with approved blueprints.
Deployment & Integration: Configure, deploy, and validate core network components, including enterprise routers, switches, wireless controllers, load balancers, and SD‑WAN devices.
Implementation Leadership: Oversee physical and logical deployment activities, including site staging, structured cabling plans, patching schedules, and final site commissioning.
Resilience & High Availability: Design and validate high‑availability (HA) topologies, redundant transport paths, link/device failover mechanisms, and rapid routing convergence protocols.
DR Architecture: In partnership with the Systems & Storage team, co‑design and maintain network failover architecture, disaster recovery site connectivity, and dynamic traffic redirection protocols.
Execution & Validation: Plan and execute scheduled DR testing exercises; systematically document failover performance, latency metrics, and functional gaps.
SLA Alignment: Validate that Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) are consistently met at the network layer, escalating design limitations proactively where required.
Senior Escalation: Serve as the senior technical authority and highest internal escalation point (L2/L3) for major network incidents and operational outages.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct rigorous post‑incident root cause analyses to implement permanent corrective actions and eliminate systemic failures.
Performance & Capacity: Monitor estate health, throughput, and capacity trends across managed client environments to ensure optimal operational performance.
Lifecycle Management: Manage software, firmware, and hardware life cycles, maintaining end‑of‑support (EoS) tracking and orchestrating scheduled upgrade windows.
Project Governance: Partner with Project Managers to scope, plan, estimate effort, and mitigate technical risks across the end‑to‑end project lifecycle.
Cross‑Domain Collaboration: Interface with Security and Systems & Storage pillars to deliver cohesive, cross‑functional architectures subject to joint technical reviews.
Mentorship & Quality Control: Set technical quality baselines and mentor engineering staff without carrying direct line‑management administrative responsibilities.
Vendor Management: Engagement with principal vendors and technology partners for solution validation, advanced technical escalations, and feature roadmaps.
Standardization: Define, maintain, and enforce enterprise network baseline configurations, design patterns, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Operational Handover: Deliver structured knowledge‑transfer sessions, runbooks, and handover documentation to operational support teams prior to project sign‑off.
Process Automation: Identify opportunities to standardise designs across accounts and drive automation initiatives (e.g., scripting, configuration management) to increase operational efficiency.
Technology Evaluation: Continuously assess emerging networking technologies to determine operational, architectural, and commercial value for managed accounts.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or equivalent practical enterprise experience.
Experience: 5–8+ years of hands‑on enterprise network engineering experience.
Track Record: Demonstrated success leading complex, multi‑site network infrastructure deployments from inception through operational handover.
Problem‑Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with proven composure under operational pressure.
Communication: Clear verbal and written articulation, with an ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive and non‑technical stakeholders.
Leadership & Influence: Ability to guide, influence, and align cross‑functional technical teams without direct organizational authority.
Accountability: Strong sense of ownership, driving tasks and projects to completion with minimal supervision.
Maintenance Windows: Flexibility to support planned after‑hours and weekend execution windows, along with periodic on‑call escalation duty.
Travel: Occasional local or regional travel to client facilities and data centres as project deliverables dictate.
Protocols & Routing: In-depth command of enterprise routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, STP, VRRP/HSRP).
WAN & Wireless: Hands‑on experience with SD‑WAN architectures, multi‑path WAN optimization, site survey interpretations, RF planning, and controller‑managed WLANs.
Security & Hybrid Cloud: Solid understanding of firewall policies, IPsec/SSL VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity models (ExpressRoute, DirectConnect).
Load Balancing & Automation: Working knowledge of Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) / load balancing; familiarity with network automation tooling (Python, Ansible) and network management platforms.
Required: Cisco CCNP Enterprise, Juniper JNCIP, Aruba ACMP, or equivalent professional‑level networking credential.
Preferred:
Expert‑Level: CCIE or equivalent.
Security: Fortinet NSE 4+ or equivalent network security certification.
Cloud: AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or GCP equivalent.
