Job summary

CHIS Internationals in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Senior NC Programmer with 5+ years in CNC Milling programming, including semiconductor test sockets and high-precision components. You will develop and optimize programs from drawings and 3D models, generate tool paths, select tools, and troubleshoot issues to ensure tight tolerances and efficient cycles.

Qualifications

MID/SENIORNUMERICAL CONTROL(NC) PROGRAMMER

Number of vacancies: 2 (1 mid level & 1 senior level)

Starting period: Immediately

Salary: RM5,000– RM8,000/month, depending on technical skills, experience and knowledge

We are looking for an experienced Senior NC Programmer with at least 5 years of hands‑on experience in CNC Milling programming, specifically with experience in programming semiconductor test sockets and other high-precision components.

Job Scope:

Develop and optimize CNC Milling programs for precision machining.

Program semiconductor test sockets and related components based on engineering drawings and 3D models.

Generate and optimize tool paths to achieve tight tolerances, good surface finish and efficient machining cycle times.

Select suitable cutting tools, machining strategies and cutting parameters.

Troubleshoot programming and machining issues and provide technical support to production.

Review engineering drawings, GD&T and customer specifications.

Improve machining processes, reduce cycle time and minimize tool wear and rejection.

Work closely with Production, QA and Engineering teams to ensure smooth production and quality requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of CNC Milling/ NC Programming experience.

Specific experience in programming semiconductor test sockets is highly preferred / required.

Strong knowledge of CNC Milling processes, tooling and machining strategies.

Proficient in reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T and tight tolerances.

Experience with SOLIDCAM software and CNC programming is essential.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Candidates with advanced technical expertise and strong test-socket programming experience may be considered for a salary of up to RM8,000/month
